Oscar Bocanegra, Director of the Civilian Human Resources Directorate (CHRD), U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM), hosted a Town Hall at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, on January 13, 2020 to provide the HQ MEDCOM workforce with an update on the efforts to transition civilian employees, assigned to HQ and Regional Health Command level positions in direct support of Army Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) to the Defense Health Agency (DHA). He advised that the transfer of employees via a transfer of function (TOF) will be executed in three phases beginning on February 2, 2020, and that employee notifications have begun.
Bocanegra provided that DHA will not require employees transferring via TOF to physically relocate. He reminded the audience that MEDCOM will continue collaborating with the DHA to maximize placement opportunities for the remaining employees who are performing work in support of the MTF function, but whose positions
