Ordnance Marines, with Marine Attack Squadron 231, prepare the bottom of an AV-8B Harrier to be mounted with a gun and ammunition pack inside the squadron’s hangar at Cherry Point, June 8. Ordnance Marines are responsible for anything on the aircraft that has to do with weapons, from the guns, to the bombs and the racks the bombs are mounted on. The Marines are preparing all of the squadron’s Harriers for an upcoming deployment to Afghanistan. Next month they head to 29 Palms, Calif., for the deployment training exercise, Enhanced Mojave Viper. (Left to right) Lance Cpl. Matthew T. Floyd, Charlotte, N.C., native. Pfc. Bruce N.
