Marines with Bravo Company, Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 5th Marines, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, practice courses of fire before conducting a live fire exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Jan. 7, 2020. Marines familiarized themselves with the M27, M4 and M16A4 weapon systems in order to prepare for the upcoming deployment in the Indo-Pacific region. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
