The Colorado National Guard host a "Season of Light" ceremony at the Joint Force Headquarters - Colorado, Centennial, Colorado, Dec. 19, 2019. The ceremony honors the season of joy, hope and fellowship with a lighting of Christmas Advent Candles and the Hanukkah Menorah.
The special guest speaker was Jack Adler, a Holocaust survivor.Adler spoke to members of the Colorado National Guard in the Brig. Gen. Felix Sparks Auditorium. Adler describes his time in Nazi consentration camps, the liberation by Colorado Army National Guard Soldiers of the 157th Infantry, and his philosopy of a life free of hate.
The significance of speaking in this auditorium is that Sparks commanded the 157th IN when they liberated the Dachau concentration camp.
