Paratroopers assigned to C Troop, 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, along with Afghan Soldiers assigned to the 203rd Thunder Corps, Afghan National Army and U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to the 1st Armored Division conduct an rapid extraction (EXFIL) following a fly-to-advise mission Dec. 29 in Southeastern Afghanistan. U.S. Soldiers are working side-by-side with Afghan partners providing assistance in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel and Operation Resolute Support. Resolute Support is a NATO-led, non-combat mission to train, advise and assist the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF).
