A U.S. Coast Guard aircrew aboard a MH-65 Dolphin helicopter conducts a Helicopter in Flight Refueling (HIFR) operation with Coast Guard Cutter Bertholf (WMSL 750) crewmembers while the cutter patrols the Philippine Sea, April 12, 2019. Crews conduct HIFR training operations to transfer fuel while keeping the helicopter airborne in case the helicopter cannot land on the cutter due to bad sea state conditions, mechanical failures, an occupied flight deck or other reasons they cannot land.
