An F/A-18C Hornet from the Strike Fighter Squadron 192 "Golden Dragons" launches from USS Kitty Hawk's (CV 63) flight deck during flight operations at sea, Sept. 19. During a catapult launch aircraft accelerate from 0 to 180 miles per hour in less than two seconds. Kitty Hawk is nearly four months into its summer deployment from Fleet Activities Yokosuka, Japan.
