Archives Month, a national annual event each October, helps to inform the public about the role of archivists and the collections they maintain. NHHC's Archives Branch maintains the Navy's organizational records, personal papers, and other materials related to naval operations, policy, and strategy, including ships’ deck logs dating back thirty years and annual command operations reports of active U.S. Navy ships, aviation units, and shore commands.
