FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. – (Right to Left) Sgt 1st Class Kagan Helm, instructs Sgt. Courtney Schwarze, both with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 55th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade, on what will happen if there is an issue during Schwarze’s employment of a live hand grenade during the grenade range on August 5, 2019. Helm communicated and assured Schwarze that everything was going to be alright, and that she was ready before she prepared to throw. It was Helm’s and the HHC leadership and instruction, that led the Soldiers of the HHC to properly deploy all hand grenades safely and effectively.
