U.K. Army Brigadier Leigh R. Tingey, Commander, Task Force-Southeast and Deputy Commanding General-Maneuver, 1st Armored Division, serves holiday meals to U.S. Soldiers at an outlying station in Southeastern Afghanistan, December 25, 2019. The tradition of senior leaders serving holiday meals to Soldiers is one that is especially important for morale of deployed Soldiers. Elements of the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Armored Division are currently deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operations Freedom's Sentinel and Resolute Support by providing invaluable training, advising, and assisting efforts to Afghan counterparts.
