Command Sgt. Maj. Christopher C. Goodart, Senior Enlisted Leader, Task Force-Southeast and 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, serves holiday meals to U.S. Soldiers at an outlying station in Southeastern Afghanistan, December 25, 2019. The tradition of senior leaders serving holiday meals to Soldiers is one that is especially important for morale of deployed Soldiers. 5-73 CAV is currently deployed along with Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, 1st Armored Division in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel and Resolute Support providing invaluable training, advising, and assisting efforts to Afghan counterparts across Southeastern Afghanistan.
