191216-N-QR336-1302 NARRA, Palawan (Dec. 16, 2019) Apprentice Fireman Construction Electrician Cristopher Sebastian Jr., from Armed Forces of Philippines (AFP) Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 2, gets ready to fill concrete masonry unit blocks for the exterior walls of the Malatgao Elementary School. U.S. Navy Seabees deployed with NMCB-5’s Detail Palawan are working with AFP Seabees to build a two-room schoolhouse that will be utilized by over 120 students. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
