Family members and friends of fallen Soldiers, and community members placed wreaths at the base of the White Flowering Crape Myrtle trees at Fort Stewart’s Warriors Walk, Dec. 14, 2019. The 469 trees are each dedicated to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom. Fort Stewart hosted Wreaths for Warriors Walk in conjunction with the national “Wreaths across America”, to honor and show support to the families of the fallen Soldiers of Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
