SAN DIEGO (Dec. 10, 2019) Capt. Bradford Smith, Naval Medical Center San Diego’s (NMCSD) commanding officer, center, shows Capt. Jung Tae Park, Republic of Korea navy’s (ROKN) surgeon general, right, and Cmdr. Min Kyo Seo, ROKN’s chief of policy, office of the surgeon general, left, an anti-gravity treadmill for rehabilitation in NMCSD’s comprehensive combat and complex casualty care clinic Dec. 10. NMCSD and ROKN participate in an officer exchange program where medical officers cross-train at both countries’ naval hospitals. NMCSD’s mission is to prepare service members to deploy in support of operational forces, deliver high quality healthcare services and shape the future of military medicine through education, training, and research.
