JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Washington- A U.S. Army Special Operations Soldier with 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) jumps from a CH-47 Chinook during Menton Week at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash., Dec. 11. Menton Week is an annual week-long remembrance of the deactivation of the First Special Service Force during World War II. The FSSF is considered a predecessor to modern U.S. Army Special Forces.
