Special guests Courtney Lynne Smits, Miss Virginia USA 2019, and Marine Corps Base Quantico's Commanding Officer, Col. William C. Bentley, mingle with guests during the Marine Corps Community Services' annual tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 5, 2019 aboard MCB Quantico. The base's brass band entertained the crowd with an assortment of music and dancing. Col. Bentley even joined them by playing along on his trombone. Other special guests of the even included Santa Claus and Base Sgt. Maj. Michael W. Hensley.
