Naval Medical Center San Diego staff salute the national ensign during the parading of colors at a commemoration for the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Midway and the Bicentennial of the War of 1812 ceremony. Leadership from the center laid two wreaths to commemorate the historical events. The Battle of Midway is regarded as the turning point in the Pacific during World War II.
