(Sept., 14, 2014) – Chief Engineering Aid William McKenzie, a Seabee assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 18, prepares for a DV arrival while participating in the Department of Defense’s Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program; which provides camp maintenance and construction projects to Snow Mountain Ranch, Aug. 8 - Sept. 25, 2014. IRT is a federal government program that partners military units with community projects and provides training at the unit level to improve operational readiness. Seabees provide general engineering and civil support to Navy, Marine Corps and joint operation forces globally and support major combat operations, theater security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
