Submitted Photo by Senior Chief Petty Officer Matthew Bodenner. Chief Petty Officer Selects compete in the cadence and guidon competition during the 19th Annual CPO Heritage Days. The event was held on August 20-22, 2019, and was hosted by the Hampton Roads Naval Museum in partnership with Nauticus, Sail Nauticus, the City of Norfolk, the Hampton Roads Naval Historical Foundation and area Chief Petty Officers. The event featured history and heritage presentations aboard the decommissioned Iowa-Class Battleship, USS Wisconsin (BB-64), and was attended by over 850 CPO Selects from over 50 area and out of state commands. It is the largest event and longest running event of its kind in the region and throughout the Naval History and Heritage Command’s ten (10) Naval Museum across the nation.
