A Soldier with the Iraqi army passes out copies of Baghdad Now at an army checkpoint. Baghdad Now is a periodical put together by U.S. Army Soldiers with Detachment 1080, 318th Psychological Operations Company. The newspaper was distributed in the East Rashid region of Baghdad on July 11. Baghdad Now has articles that discuss all manner of news from informing the public on global news as well as local issues, helping to legitimize the Iraqi forces that work with the United States, and any information regarding the security of the region, such as discoveries of weapons caches.
