U.S. Marines with Combat Logistics Detachment 342 disembark a U.S. Navy landing craft air cushion during exercise Tiger TRIUMPH in Kakinada, India, November 19, 2019. LCAC’s are used to transport Marines, vehicles and equipment from ships-to-shore at high speeds. During Tiger TRIUMPH, U.S. and Indian forces conducted valuable training in humanitarian assistance disaster relief operations by inserting a joint and combined Indian and U.S. force from ship-to-shore in response to a hypothetical natural disaster. While on shore, the forces conducted limited patrolling, moved simulated victims to medical care and produced and distributed drinking water. Military exercises like Tiger TRIUMPH improve partnership, readiness and cooperation. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Armando Elizalde)
