Where are you originally from?
I am originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico and I was raised in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Also known as “Despacito Island”.
When did you join the Navy?
I joined the Navy December 13, 2017.
What instrument do you play?
I play the tenor saxophone, but I also double on clarinet, flute and percussion. I typically play soprano, alto, and baritone saxophone when needed.
Where did you go to school to study music?
I went to the Universidad Interamericana in Cupey, Puerto Rico to study saxophone performance.
Why did you join the Navy?
I joined the Navy to execute my profession on a worldwide platform. Before the Navy I toured extensively with Gilberto Santa Rosa which was an amazing experience. Also worked with The Philharmonic Orchestra Arturo Somohano, Marc Anthony, Lalo Rodriguez, Puerto Rico’s Concert Band and many others. Navy provides me the opportunity to travel, perform at the highest level, and the type of stability I was looking for.
Favorite place you have visited?
A few of my favorite places I have been are Punta Cana, Cancun, Vancouver, Las Vegas, New York City, Chile, Peru, Barcelona, Milan, Belgium, France, Argentina, Uruguay and Colombia.
What do you do in your off time?
Off time? What is that? My hobby is work hard, everyday, all day!
