Members of the Djiboutian navy practice securing a vessel during an exercise here May 26 with members of the U.S. Navy Maritime Civil Affairs and Security Training Command. The exchange reflected a joint venture with the Djiboutian navy, Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, U.S. Naval Forces Africa and MCAST. These exchanges enhance U.S. relations with partner nations and coincide with two objectives of the CJTF-HOA mission statement: enhancing partner nation capacity and promoting regional stability in East Africa.
