Bott and Duran are both rifleman with 1st Platoon, Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3/5, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Bott, 19, is from Newport News, Va., and Duran, 18, is from Los Angeles. The unit is embarked on the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as part of Amphibious Squadron 3 and 15th MEU’s training during PHIBRON-MEU Interoperability Training. The 15th MEU is currently training for its deployment scheduled for this fall.
