191118-N-JO908-2006 MANAMA, Bahrain (Nov. 18, 2019) Sailors assigned to Commander, Task Group 56.1, participate in a closed-circuit rebreather certification course onboard Naval Support Activity Bahrain. EODMU-5 conducts counter improvised explosive device operations, renders safe explosive hazards, and disarms underwater explosives. Task Group 56.1is assigned to Commander, Task Force 56, the primary expeditionary task force responsible for the planning and execution of coastal riverine operations, explosive ordnance disposal, diving engineering and construction, and underwater construction in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
