ATLANTIC OCEAN (Nov. 15, 2019) Aviation Boatswain’s Mate 1st Class Christopher Houy, from Memphis, Tennessee, assigned to USS Gerald R. Ford’s (CVN 78) air department, shines boots in the ship’s hangar bay during the First Class Petty Officer Association (FCPOA) boot shine fundraisder. Ford’s FCPOA raises money through various activities, such as selling breakfast sandwiches, boot shines, and car washes to raise money for special events like the Children’s Christmas Party.
