Dustin Sammons oversees and supervises assault amphibious vehicle drills during exercise Tiger TRIUMPH aboard the USS Germantown (LSD 42) while underway in the Bay of Bengal on Nov. 18, 2019. Tiger TRIUMPH improves U.S.-Indian partnership, readiness and interoperability. It gives the U.S. Marine Corps and Indian forces the opportunity to work together, exchange knowledge and learn from each other on a range of military operations such as humanitarian assistance disaster relief and amphibious operations. Sammons is the Company 1st Sgt. of Easy Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, on a Unit Deployment Program to 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, and is a native of Chester, Va.
