Marines with Combat Logistics Battalion 31, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, build weapons familiarization with a MK19 40mm automatic grenade launcher during an exercise at Kin Blue Training Area, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 2, 2019. The battalion field exercise allowed CLB-31 to hone their combat logistics and live-fire capabilities in support of future 31st MEU operations. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
