U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Armonne Gallows applies a tourniquet to a simulated casualty during a Tactical Combat Casualty Care class at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Nov. 8, 2019. Upon completion of 3rd Dental Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group’s annual 5 kilometer hike, the Sailors conducted refresher classes on TCCC to ensure optimal unit readiness. TCCC training involves the proper usage of tourniquets, proper medical evaluation, medical evacuation and expedient medical procedures.
