Sergeant Major of the Army Michael A. Grinston held his first Squad Leader Forum with sergeants and staff sergeants from the 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson.
Grinston talked about “This is My Squad,” the Army-wide initiative to empower junior NCOs and instill a sense of ownership in their teams.
"This isn't just about an infantry squad," said Grinston. "This is about your squad, your friends, your people."
Grinston wants "This is My Squad" to be about the people soldiers hang out with. Taking ownership and taking care of the people in their squad.
