PHILIPPINE SEA (Nov. 11, 2019) Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force Lt. j. g. Momo Dokite, assigned to the Hyuga-class helicopter destroyer JS Hyuga (DDH 181), uses a pair of binoculars on the port bridge wing of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Milius (DDG 69) as the ship sails in formation during Annual Exercise (ANNUALEX) 19. Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15 is currently participating in ANNUALEX 19, a bilateral exercise which further develops coordination and interoperability of the premier alliance between the U.S. Navy and JMSDF.
