    Army Reserve Biomedical Equipment Specialist Axel Cruzdiaz works on piece of medical diagnostic equipment with an instructor at the General Electric Healthcare Institute, in Waukesha, Wis., on October 23, 2019. Cruzdiaz is part of a cohort of nine Soldiers sharing the 68A military occupational specialty. While training, the group are called externs, and are going through an intensive regiment designed to enhance the range of equipment they can install, maintain and trouble shoot in Army medical centers and medical sites in the field.
