Service members unfurl the national ensign at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum's Memorial Day commemoration during Fleet Week New York 2012. Fleet Week New York 2012 marks the 25th year the city has celebrated the nation's sea services for the citizens of New York and the tri-state area. This year, the seven-day event, coincides with the commemoration of the bicentennial of the War of 1812, with more than 6,000 service members from the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard sea services in addition to coalition ships from around the world.
