(Nov. 4, 2019) Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Adan Gonzalez and Construction Mechanic Constructionman Christopher Linton, both assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 3, stand a perimeter watch at a forward operating base during NMCB-3’s field training exercise (FTX) in Fort Hunter Liggett, Calif. The battalion is conducting Operation Bearing Duel FTX that prepares and tests the battalion’s ability to enter a hostile location, build assigned construction projects and defend against enemy attacks using realistic scenarios while being evaluated by Naval Construction Group 1.
