Joaquin Nicholas D. Soriano of Niles, Illinois, lays gravely wounded on the battlefield as Shawn Lasee of Aurora, Illinois, prepares to defend his position against American Soldiers during a reenactment of a battle in the trenches during World War I. Both men played German Army Soldiers in the battle. The reenactment was part of the Illinois State Military Museum's Great War Encampment on Nov. 9, 2019.
