A part of the Bird Island Pier in Buffalo, NY, lays in the Black Rock Canal after the October 31, 2019 storm pushed a section of the pier off of its foundation. The Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and the Buffalo Department of Public Works inspected the pier November 6, 2019 to get an assessment of the amount of damage the October 31, 2019 storm caused to the structure.
