Olivia Proia, a reporter from WKBW Channel 7 in Buffalo, NY, joins members of the Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District and the Buffalo Department of Public Works during their inspection of the Bird Island, located in Buffalo, NY, November 6, 2019. The two organizations inspected the pier to get an assessment of the amount of damage the October 31, 2019 storm caused to the structure. The storm on Halloween created 10-20 foot waves on Lake Ontario, which cause a portion of the pier to be pushed of its foundation and into the Black Rock Channel located in Buffalo, NY.
