FORT BENNING, Ga. – Fort Benning’s U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence Band performs an Armed Forces Celebration Week concert at Madison High School in Madison, Alabama June 25. Conducting the band is its commander, Capt. Aaron Morris. Morris and others in the band believe their face-to-face conversations with civilians who approach them at concerts, parades and other events represent a little-noticed but important side of what the band does: building good relations between the Army and the public by giving civilians a personal feeling of connection to the Army’s Soldiers.
