                            Capt. Kevin Semler, Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 264 pilot and Staten Island, N.Y., native, presents Joann Gentsch, Staten Island Project Home Front volunteer and native of Staten Island, a flag flown in Semler's Osprey while deployed in Afghanistan and a letter of appreciation to the Staten Island Project Home Front for their care packages and support sent to the Marines while deployed. Special Marine Air Ground Task Force New York Marines performed a demonstration of their tactics and equipment to the people of New York at Cloves Lake Park, N.Y., during Fleet Week New York 2012, May 28. The raid is a part of several events conducted during Fleet Week New York. Fleet Week is an opportunity for Marines, sailors and coast guardsmen to show the people of New York who the Marine, Navy and Coast Guard team are, what they do, and how committed they are to serving this country. Twenty-one U.S. and coalition ships and more than 6,000 troops participated in the 25th anniversary of Fleet Week New York, a celebration of the Bicentennial of the War of 1812, May 23-30.
