191024-N-EO124-0005 IWAKUNI, Japan (Oct. 24, 2019) Steelworker Constructionman Garrett Wells, from Yale, Michigan, and Builder Constructionman Kacie Joslin, from Post Falls, Idaho, both deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Iwakuni, perform construction site layout to ensure a pad is centered and meets fire code requirements. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
