191024-N-WA745-1004 POHNPEI, Federated States of Micronesia (Oct. 24, 2019) Utiliesman Constructionman Enrique Martinez (front) and Construction Electrician 2nd Class Joe Lieby (back), both deployed with Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5’s Detail Pohnpei, dig a trench to complete the main water supply at Nan U Dispensary health center. The new health center will directly impact approximately 2,000 people living between Madolenihmw and Nett Municipalities without direct medical access. NMCB-5 is deployed across the Indo-Pacific region conducting high-quality construction to support U.S. and partner nations to strengthen partnerships, deter aggression, and enable expeditionary logistics and naval power projection.
