"Task Force Tropic” Commander, Lt. Col. Robert L. Jones (Center) from the Missouri Army National Guard, Joint Forces Headquarters, and MAJ Jose Rony Rodriguez(right) "Taskforce Tropic” LNO 260th MI BN, 50th ASG, from Pembroke Fl., took part in a press conference held at the San Pedro Sula city hall, May 8, 2012.The press conference, at which over 20 media member attended, was held to explain the role of the members of “Task Force Tropic” and update the Honduran people about the progresses being made by the crews, as part of Beyond the Horizon 2012 (BTH).Lt. Col. Jones explained that the over all plan for BTH will be building two, two-room schools and two medical clinics. They will also conduct two Medical Readiness Training Exercises, two Veterinarian Readiness Training Exercises and a Dental Readiness Training Exercise. He reported that all the construction projects are on schedule, over 3,700 Honduran people have been seen and upwards of 4,500 medical procedures have been performed by medical providers.
