Davis relinquished command of 2nd MAW to Maj. Gen. Glenn M. Walters aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C. Davis is selected for promotion to lieutenant general and slated to transfer to U.S. Cyber Command at Fort Meade, Md., as deputy director, pending Senate confirmation. “A news reporter asked me what was my favorite memory of my time here in the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing. I said that’s an unfair question, I said I’m not going to give you the answer you want,” Davis said during the ceremony. “Every single day of the last 22 months that I have had the honor to be even associated with this team of warriors has been my greatest memory. Every single day.”
