Displaced personnel begin a protest at the mock dislocated civilians camp May 18. The camp is run by Jordanian armed forces with Lebanese armed forces providing security and U.S. military providing guidance as a part of Exercise Eager Lion 12. Eager Lion 12 is an irregular warfare-themed exercise including 19 countries and more than 11,000 participants focused on missions coalition partners might perform in support of contingency operations. The intent is to strengthen military-to-military relationships and interoperability through a joint, whole-of-government, multinational approach to meet current and future complex national security challenges.
