U.S. Army 1st Lt. Savanah Gideon, a combat medic assigned to the Womack Army Medical Center, disassembles an M4 carbine during the Expert Field Medical Badge qualification course on Oct. 29, 2019. The EFMB course included an Army Physical Fitness Test, a written test, day and night land navigation, three combat testing lanes and a 12-mile foot march. Candidates tested on rigorous and timed activities such as medical, warrior, chemical and casualty evacuation skills in a battlefield scenario to ensure readiness in any hostile environment.
