U.S. Marine Cpl. Jonathan Terras posts security during a patrol conducted at Jungle Warfare Training Center, Okinawa, Japan, Oct. 28, 2019. During their communication exercise, Marines with 7th Communication Battalion participate in a week long simulation, establishing and maintaining communications in a combat environment. Terras, a native of Miami, Flor., is a radio operator with 7th Comm. Bn. Part of the training focused on the unit’s ability to deploy small fire teams in support of long-range rapid deployments where the Marine Corps will need to establish austere bases.
