Terry Frost, acting director, 502nd Force Support Squadron, walks with Katherine Hammack, assistant secretary of the Army for installations, energy and environment, during a tour of the Sam Houston Community Center May 21. Originally the non-commissioned officers club and more recently a club for all ranks, the building underwent major renovation, modernizing the look and feel of the interior, and adding various game rooms including a billiards room, video games rooms, a dining area, plus a Starbucks. Hammack accompanied Terry Yonkers, assistant secretary of the Air Force for installations, environment and logistics. Both toured the center as well as looked at other installations on Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis during their May 21-22 visit. Both assistant secretaries were visiting Joint Base San Antonio to discuss world-wide and future energy and environmental initiatives for their respective services.
