Texas Army National Guard Special Forces Soldiers receive the Medal of the Minister of Defense of Czech Republic during a ceremony in Prostejov, Oct. 25, 2019, hosted by their State Partner, Czech Republic. The unique decoration was due to the Texas Guardsman’s' efforts supporting their Czech Allies during a recent combat deployment to Afghanistan as part of Operation Resolute Support. The Texas Military Department and the Czech Republic have participated in the U.S. Department of State’s Partnership Program cooperation since 1993 with the Nebraska National Guard, in support of the U.S. European Command Theater Security Cooperation Strategy.
