Lt. Col. David Sosa, commanding officer of Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, far right, and Capt. Jeremy Wilkinson, operations officer of Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 24th MEU middle, meet with an officer from the Royal Jordanian Armed Forces to discuss upcoming training events, May 13, during Exercise Eager Lion 12. Eager Lion 12 is scheduled to take place throughout the month of May and is designed to strengthen the military-to-military relationships of 19 partner nations. This is the second major exercise for the 24th MEU which, along with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group, is currently deployed to the Central Command area of operations as a theater-reserve and crisis-response force.
