191011-N-MD802-1168 MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Oct. 11, 2019) Seaman Daimian Jackson uses a needle gun to preserve the deck of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (DDG 99) on Oct. 11, 2019. Farragut, homeported in Mayport, Florida, is part of the East Coast Surface Action Group (SAG) and is operating in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility as part of a scheduled deployment and will conduct maritime security operations, improve interoperability and engagement with allies and partners, and demonstrate the combat power and flexibility of naval forces.
